Fees & Insurance
Insurance Coverage
At Lakewood Child and Family Counseling, we strive to make mental health care accessible by accepting various insurance plans. We are in-network with the following providers:
- First Choice Health Network
- Premera Blue Shield
- Regence Blue Cross
- Ambetter Plans (all plans)
- Kaiser PPO and HMO (all plans)
- Coordinated Care (Medicaid)
- Molina (Marketplace and Medicaid)
- Lifewise Insurance of WA
- VA CCN (with referral only)
Important Insurance Information
- Most union insurance plans are covered under First Choice Health Network (FCHN) or Premera/Regence.
- We do not accept Aetna, Cigna, United Healthplan, or Optum unless you use out-of-network benefits.
Out-of-Network Benefits
If we are not an in-network provider with your insurance, you may still have coverage through your out-of-network benefits. We can provide a superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. We encourage you to check with your insurance provider to understand your out-of-network mental health coverage.
How Out-of-Network Billing Works
- You pay for your sessions upfront.
- We provide a superbill (detailed receipt) to submit to your insurance company.
- Your insurance provider may reimburse you directly based on your plan’s out-of-network benefits.
We encourage you to contact your insurance provider to understand the specifics of your out-of-network coverage.
Private Pay Rates
Our private pay rates for therapy sessions are as follows:
- Intake Session (Session 1): $200 per session
- Individual Therapy: $180 per session
- Couples/Family Therapy: $180 per session
- Group Therapy: $180 per session
For clients not using insurance, we offer a Good Faith Estimate upon request, outlining expected costs for therapy services.
Payment Methods
We accept the following forms of payment:
- Credit/Debit Cards
- Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs)
- Cash or Checks
Cancellation Policy
We require at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. If you cancel late or miss your appointment, the regular fee may apply. We send reminder texts 24 hours before and emails 48 hours in advance to help you keep track of your appointment.
Good Faith Estimate
If you are not using insurance, you can receive a Good Faith Estimate detailing the expected costs of your mental health services. This estimate ensures transparency and helps you plan for the financial aspect of your therapy journey.
Getting Started with Insurance Coverage
To ensure a smooth experience, please follow these steps:
- Verify Coverage: Contact your insurance provider about mental health benefits, copays, deductibles, and out-of-pocket costs.
- Provide Insurance Information: When scheduling your first appointment, have your insurance details ready.
- Check Referral Requirements: Some insurance plans, like VA CCN, require a referral.
If you need assistance verifying coverage, our administrative team is happy to help guide you through the process.
