More About USFHP-Covered Therapy at Lakewood CFC

Lakewood Child and Family Counseling is a small, female-owned, veteran-operated telehealth practice based in Washington State. We provide secure online therapy for adults across the state, and we’re in-network with USFHP, Tricare Prime, Tricare Select, and the VA.

Through one-on-one sessions with a licensed Washington counselor, you’ll work on the things you’re actually carrying, not just symptoms, but the underlying patterns. Our work is thoughtful, personalized, and focused on practical strategies that fit your real life, whether that’s deployment cycles, PCS moves, post-service transition, or the invisible weight of holding it all together.

This is not a one-size-fits-all approach. Each session is collaborative and focused on helping you build resilience, reduce overwhelm, and move through your life with more clarity and control.

You’ll get help with:

  • Anxiety, overwhelm, and racing thoughts
  • PTSD, CPTSD, trauma, and stress responses (combat-related, MST, accidents, childhood)
  • Burnout; for service members, spouses, providers, and caregivers
  • Depression, including post-deployment and post-PCS depression
  • Military spouse stress, solo parenting, and identity shifts
  • Transition, retirement, and civilian re-entry
  • ADHD and neurodivergence (including adults who’ve been masking for years)
  • Grief, loss, and ambiguous loss common in military life
  • Relationship strain and reconnection after deployment

No prior therapy experience is needed. Come as you are, and we’ll start from there.

Licensed Washington Counselors Who Understand Military Life

Our team includes therapists who personally understand military culture, deployment, PCS moves, and the rhythm of “I’m fine” that doesn’t always mean fine. As a veteran-operated practice, we built LCFC with military families in mind. Our counselors are trained in trauma-informed care, somatic and nervous system-informed approaches, and neurodivergent-affirming therapy. We work with active duty members, spouses, dependents, retirees, and veterans across all branches.
